I have two new chickens that our broody hen hatched. The one pictured is a Silver Penciled Wyandotte. She has bald spots on her wings and a general shabby appearance compared to the Pendesenca which hatched a day later. They are both about 6 weeks.
Is this due to chicken behavior or feed? They are in the coop with 5 grown hens including the one that hatched them. The run is 4'x8' and the coop has two floors, each 2'x4' with the top floor having roosting bars. The whole apparatus gets moved across the lawn every day (it's a tractor).
