A few months ago my family and I bought 4 baby chicks (90% guaranteed to be female). Of course, my usual luck held and it looks like our Barred Plymouth Rock, Henrietta, is actually a Henry. We got the chickens for eggs and companionship, and while he's a great fun bird, we don't want to breed and are afraid he will anger the neighbors (he's started crowing, especially in the morning). He's friendly and loves being close to people, and we hate to have to send him away. Please, if anyone wants a free rooster, or knows a way to rehome him soon, let me know. Thanks a bunch!

Update: Henry's been successfully relocated to a really nice poultry farm about an hour away. The girls are a bit perturbed but not too bad & a side benefit is they're extra clingy/cuddly with us primates now. Thanks for the well wishes :)

Hi there! Great to hear he was rehomed successfully. We are looking to rehome our frizzle Rooster (the flock is beating him up). Would you share the info of the farm you found? Thanks

Hello!
@WarcrossX hasn't been on BYC since Saturday, so there is a chance they might not respond. Hopefully you can find him a new home! Try and post in your state thread If you haven't already. (your in SoCal right?) Here's the link.->
