Young Rooster

I feel a little strange about asking this, but when my rooster mates with a hen that is the same age it is usually over in a flash and the hen walks away and fluffs her feather a goes about her day. Apparently this happens more than a few times a day. Yesterday I was in the yard talking with my daughter and across the yard I see the rooster mount the hen and this time it went a little longer and the hen did not get up and walk away, she stayed still with her tail in the air and her head down long enough that I started running over to see if she was ok. Is this normal?

Possibly the hen was showing submission to the roo?
My hens sit in that position when they are submissive to the lead hen.

I've seen a few stay down for a bit like that....usually the younger ones.
