one of our two month old royal palm turkeys got attacked by our old tom(we suspect) we also suspect he was trying to mate with it..

as a result, there was some hip displacement issue.. the hip has straightened out, but now the turkey walks on her fist.

we tried to wire her toes to a piece of cardboard, but she wiggled out of that contraption in a few minutes..

can we duct tape her toes to the cardboard? how long should we leave her taped up?

any other remedies you can offer??

thank you

maybe I should change the heading to read something more interesting so that I could get some ideas on how to correct the problem.. I guess it is not exotic enough..

I just want to thank everyone for their input for this problem..

I had to kill the turkey because I did not want it to go through life limping on it's curled up foot...

I'm sorry about your turkey. I have limited turkey experience. I'm not sure that there are a lot of turkey keepers here. I will PM you the address of another poultry site that has a bit more turkey discussion. If there is a problem in the future, it might give you an additional resource. Again, sorry nobody had advice.

thank you jody, got your note..

actually I did not see much difference between a turkey's club foot compared to a chicken's.

out of 20,000 subscribers, I thought I would get at least one reply
