Describe/post a pic of your ideal coop and run! If you could build/design it any way you wanted, what would it be? I will be starting mine today!

I love everything about my coop. I came here and took what I thought were some of the best ideas I saw, and then applied them to my coop set up. The ONLY thing that I would change is that I would have made it bigger and also my run bigger (so I could have many more chickens). Other than that, I love my set up. You can see it by clicking here.

I'd like a round shed that is big enough to get a tractor in to clean it. Automatic inside waterers for winter and other waterers for summer. A hopper bin inside the coop for feed.

Keltara, your coop is really nice! I was thinking about using plastic tubs as nesting boxes too, for easier clean up. Is there a reason most people use wood?
'Whatdidido', what is a hopper bin?

I don't really know. I really like the plastic, because it's easy to clean out "if" a chicken poops in it. Now when you saw that in my coop, I want to clarify some changes that I've made. I have gotten rid of the poop board under the roost, because it was just in the way for me. Since I clean the poop every day, it was just easier to get it all off the floor. Also, I still use the plastic bins for the nest boxes, but my husband has since put up divider walls in between each one. The girls needed more privacy (especially when I increased my flock to 6). Other than that, everything else is the same. I love it and wouldn't change a thing (except size). I really love being able to stand up in the run, and also stand while cleaning the coop. I can't imagine having to stoop over for those chores. I put a lot of thought into our design and I'm really happy with the outcome. Also, using sand is heavenly!!! Good luck with yours!

My favorite coop of all time: http://www.thefancyfarmgirl.com/heres-the-coop/
We have just constructed one very similar. -chose to use hardware cloth instead of chicken wire on the interior wall, and added four large windows due to our climate. -still finishing the decor, exterior paint, landscaping.....and adding electricity for the fans and chandelier!

It is 8 x 12, with plenty of room for our 9 gals. -hubby installed a fabulous roof vent the entire length of the roofline. We attached/skirted hardware cloth around the entire coop (and under the steps). -covered it with pavestone and are going to plant perennials alongside! -there are two sliding doors that allow access into the run area. Five nesting boxes, roosts, and a ladder line the back wall. (one wee nesting box betwixt two windows is the perfect space for the li'l bantam girls)
