Have a 2 y/o Wyandotte Hen who I thought was eggbound as of yesterday. She was mopey, sitting in the grass and not very active. Brought her in / isolated her and started assessing / treating for being egg bound. She's had liquid bowel movements, more like cloudy water.
I was rubbing on her belly / breastbone area a few minutes ago and felt what I thought was dried poop......NOPE.
It was a scab. And the pictures show what was under the scab. It looks like a tunneling wound. Minimal clear / cloudy drainage, no obvious odor.
I sprayed BlueKote after cleaning it. Any ideas or suggestions? Anyone ever seen this before? Do we think she'll get better?
I have NO idea if it's some kind of bite or puncture 🧐

This link has some pictures of a breast blister (like bumblefoot, but on the breast), with how it was treated:

This often happens if they are resting or rubbing their keel area on a roost, or laying in bedding (especially soiled or damp/wet) and putting pressure on that area. Check her feet for bumblefoot or other foot/leg problems, those can contribute to not roosting properly. Sometimes heavy birds just roost that way due to their weight. If she's not roosting, then try to get her to, sometimes padding the roost can help, just make sure it's not something that can be picked off and eaten, an old bath towel can work. You may need to crate her on clean towels until she's feeling better.

Yeah, she's a hefty lady for sure. I've got her crated and doing twice daily cleanings now. She's not really eating which concerns me but I'm giving her water with a syringe for today.

I agree, that looks like an abscessed breast blister. Both Wyorp Rock and @coach723 have given good advice. Is your chicken having any problems with legs or feet, walking or getting up to the roosts at night? How is your bedding on the coop and run floors? Dampness, soiled bedding, and rough roosts should be avoided.
Her leg strength is equal bilaterally, she can walk but has spent most of the last 48 hours either roosting (inside dog crate) or sitting (grass or clean towel). Feet look good, no bumble issues. Floors / bedding is a Tarp with layer of pine shavings that I clean weekly. And I've also got a sh*t shelf type thing under the roosting bars so majority of the excrement collects there and not on the floor. The roosting bars are 2x4 turned sideways so their feet are on the narrow side, they can grip it or if they line up just right, the toes just barely curl over it.
I sprayed that Blue Kote yesterday bc it was all I had on hand. Will try the irrigation today at least once, put a small bandage on it for protection and will look in to oral abx.

Such good ideas and advice on here! Love this site ❤️

Update also...
I put her BFF in the dog crate with her last night and they just chirped and coo'd away 🥰 this morning she got out of the crate with her and pecked around / ate a few bites on her own. Looking like she'll do fine, especially if I continue y'alls advice!
