My zebra doves are really getting the hang of hatching and raising their chicks now.
Their 1st clutch was infertile,
Their 2nd clutch only had one egg, they got a bit confused raising the chick and stopped feeding it before it could eat well on its own - so I had to assist hand feed it.
Their 3rd nest had 2 eggs, and now both chicks are nearly weaned and mum and dad are doing a great job - practice makes perfect!!!
I could even leave in their first older chick - all 3 of them helped rear these babies, and the parents did not attack the older chick.
It feels nice to be out of the nest at last!
Wing stretch exorcises - soon I will fly as good as my older brother can (he is next to me in this pic).
Our Mother takes very good care of us.
