Zinnia Prefers Ducks

So my top hen, Zinnia, has never ever squatted for my rooster. Not once in the 3+ years he's been fertile. But I just watched one of my ducks (a hen) walk up to Zinnia and nibble at her feathers to get her out of the way. Zinnia SQUATTED and did the whole I-just-mated-so-I-gotta-shake thing.

I'm dying!


Well, maybe this will be a relief to the rooster to know that it's not personal. He's just the wrong species and gender.
