Thank you they are the only breed I keep now, nice and calm, great layers, and they can't jump a 3ft fence! Great chickens I've really enjoyed them

Pit bull! If your excited about watching chickens so are they! Buddy loves his chickens and just his presence scares most predators. That's buddy watching the chickens along side his rooster, good boys!

Real dark legs, I'd say 2 pullets? My cockerels don't have much dark color in the legs. Better head shots of both would help

My scarecrow works great, just move him around the yard and change his shirt every now and then and the hawks think it's me! Haven't lost a chicken or chick since he's been In charge. Some times he fools me after a couple beers!

If that was I my house, feathers and no chicken or parts it would be a fox. If that might be a possibility in your area set a live trap, pile hay on top so it looks like a mound of grass with a hole at the bottom. Go buy a chicken breast or any store bought chicken for that matter and throw it...

Thanks gator75, I love my 12 java hens sweet and friendly but...... The roosters are ferocious! If you take your I off the java roosters they are going to getcha. But I've seen them take on several neighbor dogs and come out on top so I keep them around
