Anyone between Central VA and NVA, that has a dozen Dorking hatching eggs for sale or a straight run of Dorking chicks, I'm in the market...

I've used Sunrise feeds, but there was a LOT of waste. I believe it is due to them grinding the cobs, shells and husk in with the feed. New Country Organic, Waynesboro, costs more, but is VASTLY better.

Hey, Folks, I'm interested in finding a source, in the Central Virginia area, to acquire either a dozen straight run dorking chicks or a dozen hatching eggs, this coming spring. Preferably in late February or early March. Color isn't an issue, though silver gray would be nice... Any thoughts...

Rest In Peace, Martha! Martha the Master Mom met her end yesterday afternoon, defending her chicks from Ol' Mr. Fox. All ten of her brood came peeping out of the woods, but Martha didn't make it. She was the oldest and most reliable broody hen in our clan. Stalwart on the nest and fiercely...

I've got 6 like your light ones and 4 like the dark ones. Martha hatched them all but, shared the laying duties with one of the hens I got from you. You think eventually I'll be able to tell which chick came from which hen?

Question: 23 days ago I put 10 gamefowl eggs under Martha. 3 days ago they all hatched but one And I removed that egg this morning. This afternoon I counted the chicks three times and there are ten! Any ideas about this..?
