Forgot to mention...we get them back into the pen before dark. Don't want to deal with predators.

I trained mine to come to the sound of me calling them and shaking BOSS in a can! Works like a charm! I only let one or two out at a time in the beginning but now they all go out to free range.

I'm thinking of trying this too! Let me know how it worked.

So far I've been lucky! They like to go into the veggie garden but they only scratch between the plants! Helps me with the weeding!!!

I just purchased the Bethlehem battery operated strands of lights without the garland. They were on sale last week! I haven't installed them yet because my girls are still getting enough light. I plan to set the lights up this weekend. Have you ever used the lanterns?
