Split color chickens carries 2 color genes. One gene is more dominant than the other. If your hatching, you could end up with both colors in your flock. (Blue and/or lavender)

Well....Im out of this hatchin now!! Put all my eggs in the Brooder/Hatcher friday nite....everything was great! Til Saturday Nite.....temp went to 129 degrees....fried ALL of them!! Thermostat went out.....time to start over!!! Amanda is sendin more Phoenix eggs for my daughter.....hope...

Im down to only 2 now....candle at 7 days....sum had detached embryos....rest didnt even developed I know I HATE shippin eggs!!! Such a disappointer!! Think Im goin to start traveling next time....Amanda is only 6 hours away & UA is 9 hours! Might have to do a weekend trip next time...
