The Aayam-cemani is very pretty looks like sumatra, does anybody keep them
Thanks for all the input everyone (I know its late, but I can't sleep too).
I have 2 extra roosters so was just wondering, after I went to a friends farm and thats what her parents are trying to do with their RIR, didn't ask why they wanted it so I guess monkey see monkey do
So, if I decide to say cross welsummer with silkie will that even work and will the skin pigment change? Also if I take their hatch and cross it again with silkie then would that make the genes stronger to make the skin darker? I'm curious because some of mine are house together.
thanks
Ok, my brother keeps on telling me that there are other breeds that have black or darker skin pigment, but I have only seen Silkies that have black pigment skin is there really any other breeds other than silkies?
thanks
linda
think how wonderful it'll be haivg a roosters who only makes the noise a male muscovy make when the rooster crow, the neighbors will never know you even have chickens

Its so nice to know that you guys actually help eachother out even though you guys are cometitiors and not just watch the other hatcheries fall way behind and leave their customers hanging

So, I'm just wondering what feeding method are you using? Is it the one where you cut the end of the srynge off and cover the end with fabric and make a whole in it so the baby eats into it like it would from its mommy or are you going to inserted into its crop?
