hello, I recently got a silkie and she has an issue with her toe. It started as a hard bump on the second joint of her toe, but now her toe has swollen. It does not look like bumble foot as I've had another hen with that in the past. Does anyone know what this is? Is it common in silkies...

Is anyone else alarmed about the Avian Influenza issue? A poultry page I follow had shared another poultry page's post about how a vet said that it could be here, on the east coast, within 30-90 days. I'm becoming very nervous about it. Is it worse this year or is it always this bad? I remember...

The temperature range is 50-90 degrees Fahrenheit, so you should be able to grow them :)

Thanks! The cinnamon seems to be working. Is it okay to cut the base off? I'm not sure if that'll kill the plant.

I ended up putting cinnamon on it as it's a natural fungicide. I'll let you know how it works.
