I'm building three good size coops for my chickens and I'm thinking that I want to have lights set up to induce laying in the shorter months of the year... My question is: What wattage would I need for the lights? Would I need a 250 watt bulb for more heat and more light or would a smaller...
Hi guys,
Need more wick pads for a cabinet bator and I was wondering if there is anything that would work as good to boost humidity that I can purchase at home depot or ace so that I don't have to order the wick pads online...
Thanks!
Its definatelly a GQF, if you have not hatching tray in the bottom then it is a 1266... If you do have a hatcheing tray than you have a 1202... If it doesn't have the auto turner than you have a hatcher... Good luck.

Brinsea has a Facebook page, and is sponsoring monthly hatch-a-longs here on BYC by offering a prize, plus the company generally releases a coupon code every month ON its Facebook page.
I don't have the 190 but a couple of BYCers I know do have that model. I've been told I should...
If it's set up for ostrich eggs than you may have a GQF 1266 (you can tell if the spacing between trays is big and if you don't have a hatching tray at the bottom)
I used to have one of those and I ended up moving the trays to set up chicken eggs, kind of made it a 1202. You can do that too...

Hi there,
I'm also looking to get the Brinsea 190... Is that the one you are refering to as too small? Also to the person that was nice to share the cupon code for 10% off of a Brinsea till April 15th, it's going to take me a couple of months to get the money together, do you know if...
She will sit on her eggs once she is good and ready... Even if you remove all eggs and just leave a plastic one she'll broody out. I guess is their natural cycle and as far as I know there is nothing that you can do to speed her up or avoid her getting broody. Be patient and good luck.
I'm looking to buy an used cabinet style egg incubator like GQF, Grinsea, etc. Must be in good working condition and preferebly not older than 10yrs. I live in Oregon and wouldn't mind driving to Washington for the right one. Please let me know what you have. Thanks and happy hatching!!
I'm looking to buy an used GQF or Brinsea cabinet incubator, ideally no more than 10yrs old in the Oregon or Washington area... If you have one that you can let go please let me know. Thanks and happy hatching!!
I'm looking to buy a 1202 bator here in my area... The person that has it doesn't know how old it is as he got it used and didn't ask. He says that it works good, 70 to 90 percent hatching rate. He texted my a few pics but I can't seem to figure out how to get them from my cell to the computer...
