he put up an ad saying "FREE RACING PIGEONS Imported Belgium Dutch and Australian bloodlines excess stock"
i live 3 hours away and when i emailed, he said that once i've chosen what i want specifically, he'll bring 'em down, free of charge...

Equine viral encephalomyelitis

i got my first pigeons from a poultry auction, but the person who brought them there was from out of town. i've had my pigeons for a few months, and ive been really wanting to expand my flock, but the cloest breeders i know of are 6 hours away. so i was wondering if anyone on BYC ships overseas...
i just moved into a new house, and the previous owners who used to keep rabbits left us her old home made hutch. it's made of chicken wire and timber, and has a tin roof. i managed to replace the back, which was falling apart, with harware cloth. anyway, the hutch is in my chicken run, and i was...
i was wondering if you can use pine shavings as a nesting material for pigeons...
i know straw is preferred, but straw here is a rare commodity, and if i can get some, it's very pricy, to say the least. i was also wondering if they would nest off the ground. mine currently live with my chickens...
with my pigeons, i had them in for 2 weeks before i let them out, and they stick around. main thing they need to know is that where they roost is where they get food. i had 2 fantails, a nun and a king. i let them out 2 weeks after i got 'em, and a few days later, my friend gave me a pair of...
i picked up sone pigeons at an auction, a King, 2 fantails, a nun and a pair of doneks/gelentini rollers (i can't remember what they were). i keep them with my flock of chickens, which, what i normally do with them is open the door in the morning, and close it at night. i would like to be able...
i have a white leghorn pullet, who hasn't eaten since about 2 days ago. there aren't any other symptoms other than her moving more slowly, and just standing around. when i throw food in her direction, she won't peck at it. she will, however, eat bread if i tear off a small peice and put it in...
i don't have anything else at the moment, and i have a leghorn hen who's wheezing a fair bit. i can't buy anything else from anywhere in town, so yeah, what the question says. any and all help appreciated.
thanks
james
One of my friends has a tame Fantail cock, who hangs around on her shoulder without flying off. she has had it from a squab. she says they're one of the easiest pigeons to train. would i be able to train one to do the same thing if i got it as an adult? and if i do, how would i?
thanks...
