This recipe is great! I'm going to try making some right away but I was wondering if you have to keep them in the freezer until right before you use it. Can you take them out and put them a Ziploc or the fridge?
Thank you SO much for telling me this. A friend of mine just put in day old chicks and it worked for her but maybe she was just very lucky. I would be so sad if cute little baby chicks got killed because of me being stupid. Maybe i'll try getting some fertalized eggs then and see how that goes...
Yes they are in the same coop. I live in the city so I don't have a very big coop or area for another enclosure. I am collecting the new eggs from my other hens. I will try the wire cage method, thanks for the suggestion.
I definetly won't do that. I agree that it would be VERY bed for her. I've heard that chickens can die from being wet with regular watter let alone ice water. I did end up trying the ice pack method but stopped half way because I felt bad about making her bare chest so cold (spoiled chickens hehe).
