I also have Golden Comets. Consume less then my BO's, lay more consistently, and very docile. Very hardy. I am in Eastern PA and we have had a heck of a winter.

The purpose is to change their pasture so you need it to be open, but how do you keep predators out at night? chicken wire? hardware cloth? My sides are hardware cloth....

That chick hatched successfully (He was just late to the party). 11 chicks out of 18 eggs. Not horrible for my first time. Still bummed about the other seven eggs.
