I've been hatching all winter. I keep them in the bathroom for the first 3 weeks then I move then to the coop. After the first week I raise the heat lamp every few days to decrease the heat in the brooder and encourage feather growth, then when I put them in the coop (I have a designated chick...
looks like you've got it right to me. The first pullet may be suspect, just because she has larger wattles than the other two, but I still think it's a girl.
The pinkness of the comb and wattles. Cockerels combs and wattles develop faster than pullets. They are bright pink and quite noticeable and big by about 6 weeks old, sometimes you can see it as soon as 4 weeks

My chicks from delisha
Their absolutely beautiful and huge!
It looks like I may have quite a few boys, but that's just fine with me, I'll have plenty to pick from for my breeding stock.
I'm so sorry. I was hopeful that you'd have a good hatch. I sent a message to the person you got them from and asked if she sold chicks. She never messaged me back so I assume that means no. Darn it!
I noticed on the hatchery chicks, that I got last year, the lighter chicks have better lacing as adults. Their all beautiful though. I can't wait to get my show quality chicks and see how they grow and develop.
I got 18 eggs from uncle bees birds, none hatched. I blame the USPS for rough handling. I'm going to order chicks from him in next year, but I'd like to have more from a different line.
Good luck on your eggs!
Chickenhill, delisha, and PeakyBeaky have very nice birds. I don't know if they are still taking orders though. Also check out the 2014 Wyandotte breeders directory for a list of breeders.
I'm feeling stupid, I just realized I sent you a message earlier this year about hatching eggs. I knew I liked your birds!
Your poor boy, hopefully the girls will find him more appealing soon and he won't have to catch them! LOL
I took the girls out side to the barn for the first time yesterday! It was a whole whopping 6 degrees. They did pretty good, only handled 5 min but then so did I LOL. Hopefully I'll be able to get them out for a few min tomorrow.
