I show you the new entries in our family: 3 baby Serama, hatched from eggs gifted by my brother. They were 18 eggs, 12 were good but then only 3 chicks… anyway better three than nothing. The three are so sweet and cute, I can’t wait to see if they are hens or roo!
Hello forum,
I already have a wooden chicken coop but sometime I'd wish have an omlet one. I love the colour, the design and it seems very easy to keep clean and so on. BUT it is very expensive so I wonder if it really could be a good choice to keep some hens.
Thanks for your advices and...
Yesterday evening I started my first 2019 batch. 4 Marans eggs and 4 Araucana eggs!
I can't wait to do the first candling!
I really like this new incubator: I can add water from outside without opening it. So temperature and humidity will not change for all the time of incubating. I my old one I...
Update: Finally I choose the small incubator. I'm planning to use it twice/three times this spring and I'll be plenty of chicks. I can't wait to start the hatching season!

I sold my old incubator. It was ok but too big for me (49 eggs).
I want choose a smaller one.
Of the same brand, I like a new incubator that can hold 8 eggs. It is very nice and compact and I like that the cover is completely transparent, as you can see inside without open it.
I just...
I think the killer was a marten. The snow of this winter bend a little the wire-net roof and there was a small hole. We planned to fix it but too late :(

The only safe is Dora because she was sick and it was a week she was in my house in a dog kennel.
They were sweet hens and i loved all them so much.
It is very sad :(
I'm in your same situation. A breeder suggest to deworm even if I can't see any sign. I took a medicine to give in the water but now I'm waiting as they are laying and I think it will be a pity throw away eggs for a week...
Hi! Soon I'll be a "breeder" of Seramas me too! Next week I'll go to take a couple (or maybe a trio) from a good breeder. I can't wait to have these mini-chickens! :love
I'm back to this forum for an update. My hatching was not a success... only 4 pullets and not of the right breeds. Anyway, this guy who sold me the eggs was a trickster. Very low hatching rate and not the right breeds as declared. I was very sad and disappointed. Money and time wasted for...
Yesterday, 8° day, first candling! Two seramas seems not fertile... Other show blood vessels and the dark spot! Only 3 are "doubt" because I cannot see the spiderweb... so I'm really happy! only sorry for Serama... I'll try again to hatch a tiny-hen next time!
