Thinking about trying with a White Cochin Rooster over a Barred Hen Cochin to see if it's possible to creates Cochin sex links? Does anyone if it is possible? Thank you
Looking for some Salmon Faverolles bantams in Kansas or Missouri to add to my bantam flock, can be hatching eggs or chicks doesn't matter please PM with details. Thank you
So Happy Spring has finally come so sorry to hear of the loss of your husband Michelle hugs. if someone is still looking I know of a breeder of Silkies in Leawood just send me a PM and I will share her info she isn't on here.
Chirping you need to check out Ralphs "Toads" He has developed a formula for breeding CX with other birds to produce a self sustaining meat bird that is I believe exactly what you are looking for and you CAN make CX forage its just not something they do if pen contained put in a chicken tractor...
Nods yep my girls have all kicked back into High Gear but that is also might fault its been so dark and gloomy with the non stop rain that I have been leaving their day lights on until like 9 or 10 at night which they love though I gotta get more straw tomorrow :) Suppose to be nice all weekend...
perfect please let me know as those are two of the colors I am after and I am happy to take eggs or chicks whichever you prefer to send. :) I look forward to hearing from you.
Hugs so sorry for your loss Danz we are having major fox issues in my neighborhood thank the Gods you set Vonnie up with Casper and Daisy and that Travis and Blaze were home on Sat at 3pm when two foxes showed up and tried to get our babies. Between the two we didn't lose any but its getting crazy.
My house chicken Strawberry (she is my profile pic and is a frazzle Cochin) is a ESA and is welcome everywhere I simply ordered an X-small ESA harness for her and we go on with life. It is illegal for Anyone to enquire about your ESA or what you have it for.
Nods I remember that we discussed that last year I have plenty of shade in my yard, and a great number of fans in their coop which is attached to my air-conditioned basement so can open the separator between the two to bring the coop down to a cool 70 when needed no problem.
OMG I LOVE his comb and that should do wonderful for the new toadies up there in Minnesota that is what I'm hoping with mine as well as better able to handle heat since its not uncommon for 100 plus days for weeks on end down here in KS and yet to hit any temp in cold weather as well.
