-Paragraph from "4 DEAD GUINEAS"
I am adding some more info here on the deaths to help determine what caused these four to die off. The area where they died was at the back of the barn where the horse manure is piled up. We also place our food scraps back here for the chickens and goats to...
This morning I went out to check on them and found the remaining 4 together. I was able catch one last night and put it into the pen. The other three came back and they are walking around the pen trying to spring their buddy!

Well I completed the butchering on the birds and was very careful in skinning and looking at the organs. The crops were full with about a 1.5 -2.0 round ball of grains, grasses and small pebbles. Also contained some fluid. The intestines showed no bulging and the gizzards were full of the same...
Yea....I thought about the poisons and liquids but no other chickens or other animals have shown any signs or symptoms of sickness. I don't have any poisons on the property and no free standing liquids that could have held anything poison like antifreeze. I have two 5 gallon waters for all the...
I have been raising these 8 for 4months now. They have been outside in there own pen for 2 months. Eating game raiser and assorted wheat, corn, and oats as I get them. I have been raising them with the intention of allowing them to free range and reduce my bug population without eating my garden...

You should also point out the actual time frame of the other pics in this series. I tried to do this on an earlier post but I think it was largely ignored.
As I have stated before its a feline of some type exotic or local.
The bigger issue I see is trying to size the animal against...

This is what we have found also. If we know that we are canning the chickens we process them by skinning not plucking. Typically these are the older chickens.
We skin them and throw them into a cooler with cold water and ice and a couple pounds of canning salt mixed in. They stay in...

I like to keep the flock as chemical free as possible and this string shows the benefits of DE but it is not a cure all!!!!!!
Some times you must intervene with specific chemicals targeted at the known symptoms.

Sounds like you got your answer. Most likely a dog.
One thing that is almost and I say almost a dead giveaway is that in soft ground if the print of this size has no claw indentations at the tips of the pads its a big kitty. Big enough that I would be calling the local Wildlife...

2 pic appears to be two crows
3 pic appears to be a cat type animal moving up a small hill.
4 pic appears to be a cat type animal that is closer and showing some symmetrical mottling that may or may not be a trick of the cameras night lens...
Bruising can only come when the bird has blood in the system. It must have something to do with handling. Once they are bled out there is no way you can get that to happen.
Remember the bruise is from an impact that causes the small capillaries in the breast to break open and spill the blood...
We have had success in putting fake Hawks on the barn and wood posts. The chickens get use to it and the other hawks see them and continue on there way.

What you have there is Canines-Animalis in its full blonde stage, known to have four paws and barks like a dog. Also looks like a dog and tends to respond to "Come-ear boy". Will eat dog food and lay on the front porch.
I thought these things were...
