I have 13 chickens,RI reds, americana and others . can I raise pigions in the same coop?

I have 8 new chicks that are now 9 weeks old. I introdused them to my other 4 hens at 5 weeks old. they have been cohabitating in the coop and run for 3 weeks now and the chicks all roost in the nest boxes. I have three and the older hens only use one , the babies have commondered the other two...

Yes they are RIR's Maybe next year we will branch out and try a different breed. with that in mind. Do I need to keep the rir rooster awayfrom the new breed?

Well We did it!! we have 8 new chicks out of 11 in the bator. 2 we had to help out at the last hour. now a week old. When can we introduse them to the outside and the rest of the flock?

6 hatched out of the 11 . 2 more alive but there shells cracked with all the others bouncing them around the bator. I will leave them in for a few more hours to see what happens. all came out of the fridge.

they were all set at the same time. 11 in all, 6 pipped, only 4 hatched, I should leave them in for another day?

We resisted the urge to help. This morning 4 of the 6 that pipped hatched. they are so adorable. What to do with the others? The 4 are all over the bator rolling the other eggs everywhere.

All of my first hatch failed. out of 11 , 4 grew to chicks but never hatched. last night I put in 11 more at 100 degrees with water in the botom of the bator. I have a turning schedule for 3 times a day, morning,afternoon , and evning. this is all i need to do , right?

I am sad I have eggs in the bator that are from 3/30 4/2, 4/3. I candeled one from the 30th 2 day's ago and it looked dead so I opened it and it wasn't. how long do I wait before I end it?
