Lately I have been giving my chickens Whole Shelled Corn, it is a bag of corn that is pretty old. Its not moldy or anything and it seems fine. Its hard and im worried my chickens won't be able to digest it.
If i cross an araucana/americauna with another white or brown egg laying breed... Is it possible the chicks they produce will be able to lay blue eggs?
I have a lot of questions on cross breeding. Lets say a light brahma were to mate with rhode island red, could a chick come out to have the reddish color of a rhode island red but have the blackk collar around its neck like its brahma mom? ANd another question, if two rooster were to fertilize...
I plan on letting my hens hatch their own eggs.... But hens set on many eggs at a time, if most hens lay one to two eggs a day, then won't they hatch at different times?

I once gave my chicks an earthworm at 2 weeks old, they loved it. I also gave them corn and they went completely crazy over that. I have recently been giving them lettuce and tomatoes but verry little and occasionally. They are 3 weeks old. Is it safe?
When can I put my baby chicks outside? I live in New York and it almost august and by the time it will be September temperatures will drop. They are currently 3 weeks old and the standard breeds are feathering well but the bantams still have downy and they are fuzzy underneath.
