If you have the Little Giant 9200, or similiar size starfoam incubator or hatcher, I noticed that a quart jar lid (from Mayo,mustard, or whatever) jar, just fits in the bottom under the screen, along the edge, so I have 8 lids under the wire--4 along the top and 4 along the bottom. Just be sure...

I have 4 little Serama hens, and tho I have tried a couple kinds of small, simple nests, they insist on laying randomly around the floor in the shavings, or occasionally outside in their pen on the grass. What do you use, or does anyone have any success with nests for them?

If she has a little crest on her head (can't tell in the pic if she does or not) but if so, I think she is a Spitzhauben. Looks very like my Spitz I hatch, except they do have a small crest--gets bigger as they grow. She's pretty. Do you have another recent pic of her?
