this cockerel will definitely be used in my breeding pen as he towers over all other silver penciled rocks I have this year. He should add some much needed size to the line
Here are two pictures of the same hen the first was taken last fall and the second was taken yesterday although she looks a bit rough from being in the breeding pen. I do think she has matured well. any comments?

why are only the males have the rose combs. I get the colour could be sex linked but I don't think rose combs are? I should have females with rose combs also.
here is the most colourful one I have three others like this out of this hatch two with a lot less red and one that could pass for a poor coloured columbian rock
they do all look very rock in type just this colour issue now red in the sp variety is a problem with most lines. You think it's bad breeding not a throw back or hidden recessive gene that just popped out.
