The Brewers of MN have already started to fix it by donating a portion of their profits back to the MN DNR and they are also looking into multiple ways to cut the amount of water they use down significntly - Hopefully more people will start to give back like this!

Corn and sunflowers were both a huge hit for our girls.. however tomatoes and brussel sprouts were not so much. Any other recommendations for food they like or dislike?

What does everyone know about growing food for our chicks? I know my girls have loved the corn on the cob and sunflowers that I grew, but is there any other favorites that you guys grow for them? Any way of packaging or storing them to last through the seasons?

I'm looking for a frugal way to save on lighting & electricity with the coop. I want to extend their light time this winter by 4 or 5 hours at night and thought solar lights like this one could help with saving energy and the light automatically going on at dusk so there is no time delaty...

I was debating insulating my coop but not sealing the over hang eaves on my roof... I thought it would offer great year round ventilation while still keeping them out of the weather and preventing all drafts from coming inside with the insulation. Thoughts?
