    It interesting to here that the black strain seems weaker than the Tri colours,Redbro's, and Yellow strains. That's something I would not expect that... Interesting I have an Idea what's going on with that black strain but don't want to say for sure

    Depends what section you are looking at... Vantress red Cornish won in the FCR aspect . Also you can avoid those dark pin feathers if you butcher at the right age. Chicks go through several set's of feathers and by butchering when a set is completely in there well be very,very few to none...

    I agree Turkeys have much more personality than chickens- I just could not get over how stupid the poults were! And this with Eastern Wild turkeys! Any ways the hens went setting in the woods and never came back.... However we have two Awesome tom's!

    Well time to build a new facility. Getting a new breeding flock of 112 chicks next month and need some place to put them. It's going to have lighting, and water ( I hope!). Now time to see what's out there for nest boxes. Does anyone here use those fowl stuff ( I think is the brand)...
