    eating your pet open discussion

I haven't made it through all of the posts, so I am not sure how much more has been said. I am curious though... are you saying that the love you feel for your wife is the same love you feel for your children?? I do not have kids, but the love I have for my parents certainly isn't the same kind...

I am sorry, housing isn't available to come with them. I converted a shed built on the property so it is kind of permanent. I would like all bantams (hens and roosters) to go together as a group, they get along well together and I would hate to split them up.

Bantams: some are pure bred, 3 are mixed. Not sure of a few breeds off the top of my head so I will post pics. Two are actually polish. Turkeys: 3 royal palms, and one bb

Hi, needing to rehome some very sweet bantams. 8 hens and 3 roosters. Most are almost 2yrs, a few a year old and one spring baby from this year. Also have 3 turkey hens and one tom around 2yrs old, they are housed with my bantams. Turkeys are ridiculously friendly and love people. These are pets...

    Moving to Alaska

No I have not figured it out, it doesn't feel right making them go through the stress of shipping (which would be the same as flying them) and crossing in to Canada seems like its possible but with all the outbreaks lately I think they would be even more difficult to get through. If you do...

turkey injury help! big hole in her side :(

Here it is :(... Unfortunately she had taken a dirt bath before I noticed it, so I have alot of serious cleaning to do. I feel so bad for her, she is one of the sweetest turkeys ever and I don't want her to be in pain.

turkey injury help! big hole in her side :(

I am not new to raising poultry BUT I am new when it comes to dealing with injuries. My turkey hen has a big hole under her wing. I wouldn't have even noticed it, if she didn't think she was a male sometimes and began struting for me. Considering it is under her wing I am not sure how it...

    Moving to Alaska

Thank you :) moving can be an exciting yet complicated thing. The thought of leaving them behind is very hard. I am already making the move with 6 dogs so why not my birds as well? If I can't go through Canada then maybe I can ship them? I have no idea if shipping adult birds there is even...

    Moving to Alaska

Hi, I am going to be moving to Alaska within a year and I would really like to be able to take my birds with me. Chickens, turkeys, geese, and ducks. I am hoping there is someone who has been in my situation and could spread some light on if this is possible? We currently reside in North...

    Turkey health problem

Hi, I'm new to turkeys and have a very sweet young royal palm hen who I'm extremely attached to. Recently I noticed she is wheezing and can no longer make any sound. When she attempts to be vocal all that comes out is wheezing a raspiness. I'm very concerned as I'm very attached to her. She...
