No offense intended ... I grew up with this issue (show steers and heifers). For family members, it was an issue confusing 'pets' with livestock. A steer will never die of old age around me, that decision was made when he was castrated.

I don't think most of this "type" will breed true or have good egg production.

High quality 'gamebird' feed is important to maximize growth. In chicken dominated rural ateas this is easisr said then done.

Same for me. Be sure you feed them correctly to maximize their growth.

Not totally sure on gender. A couple males did feather pulling and one did 'wing beating' at the feeder. They were separated so they don't bully others.
