    Ladies not laying eggs

I have 2 Easter Eggers. For almost a year they haven't laid eggs. The seem to have gone through 2 molting periods this year. They stopped laying actually when I got rid of my rooster. Will they lay again do you think?

Lately my 3 girls (Easter Eggers) have been fighting for pecking order, which is strange since they've lived together for the last 2 years and its never been an issue before. Fiesty Female

My ducklings turned 1 month old last Friday. I am thinking that I have 1 female so far out of my 4 ducklings. She is smaller and the first to quack. And a real squealer! She has cut my hands and arms trying to get away from me every time I go to pick her up and she bites; its starting to hurt...

    Heat for ducklings

My ducklings are a little over 2 weeks old. I was wondering how old before they don't require a heat lamp? I'm in Northern Ontario where night time temperatures lately are -60F. My home is set at 70F. I have forced air heating and there is a register beside their brooder. I have one duck that...

This little duckling is 3 days old. It was born with this dark mark on top of its beak. Another one has a smaller one. Now it looks and feels cracked. Doesn't seem to be bothersome. But, I'm just worried will it heal, what can I do, and will it get infected? And do you think the shell might have...

    Feeding Newborn Ducklings

I have ducklings arriving this Thursday (possibly) or Friday. I ordered un-medicated duck starter; however, the order wasn't placed. I've called around looking for some and everyone needs to order it in. I have regular chicken feed, but I know that could kill them. So I am in a fix. Can...

    Broody Hen Pool is runny

My almost 2 year old hen became broody after a rooster was introduced. They never mated, however; I had fertile Bantam eggs. She's been sitting on them since September 10th. Hen laying ripply eggs

I have two 10 month old hens. One is a Jersey Giant [black] that lays ex-large eggs. Her egg shells have had ripples on them. When I researched this, it says she might have an infectious Bronchitis. I am concerned because I don't know if it's possible that I may have given it to her because I...

My Lab is a Picky Eater

Every Monday when my son returns to school and my husband back to work my lab refuses to eat. He really likes the new Salmon-Potato food I got him. He's been on it for over a month now. Seems whenever his routine is changed, he won't eat. I ignore and don't push him to eat. I figure he will eat...
