Yesterday I built a box for my chicken's nest. I took the two nests I already had and put them in the box with an additional nest. Today, I found one egg leading into the box, two where the old nests were, and one on the floor of the box. What can I do to get them to lay in the nests? I already...
Ok. Thanks. I haven't seen any blood and they don't seem to have any issues at night. I guess I will just keep an eye on them.

Ok, I'm new to chickens and I have a question. I got my first chickens last Thursday (6 American leghorns, 6 months old). On Sunday, I got two more chickens (1 barred rock and 1 Amicauna both a year old). The one year olds are scaring the younger ones. If one of the older ones is in the coop...

Ok. My run isn't huge (about 65 sq ft), but I'm gonna give them a few days before I let them out. They seem to be enjoying it so far.

I just got my first chickens. I was wondering, how long should I leave them in the coop before opening up the door to the run? I read somewhere that they need time to get adjusted, but I don't know for sure. Also, what is a good way to get them back in the coop at night? Thanks!!
