Thanks for the link Anniebee!! I have read a few things on this site before it's very useful.
I'm not sure what is going on with him. He's been around all 6 chooks since they were 6wks old, they're now 25wks. Just very odd and wondered if anyone has had anything similar with their dogs
Thanks...
Hi all!
I'm having trouble with one of my chooks and my dog He's a 9 month old maremma and he's started pulling one of the girls feathers out from her back, he doesn't damage her skin or bite her and it's only the one chook he does it too. He started last week and I've just caught him again but...
Thanks Fancy! I have started them on vitamins and minerals in their water but there doesn't seem to be much improvement with her. Could something else be causing the issue?
Hi to everyone that welcomed me to the group, I'm learning so much on here just reading through everyone's comments!
A massive thank you to Fancychooklady with a huge sigh of relief My girl is showing signs of coming good again after 2 days on Marmite (I looked at Vegemite but that didn't have...
Thank you! I've read that vitamin B could be the issue. She's eating and drinking fine and I checked her legs over and over, they all good too. I'll try the vegemite in the meantime and go online for vitamins.
Thanks again for your response
Hi all, newbie here from Victoria!! I need some input regards to my 18wk old australorp. She's been walking like John Cleese and she shakes as she walks. When foraging with the others she has to lay down. I bought her as day old from a breeder so was vaccinated prior to purchase. Can anybody...
No, she's only 18wks but I've started her on layer pellets. Before that she was on grower pellets. I've noticed today that her back end shakes as though her weight is too much for her legs. She's not over sized of anything. We bought her as day old from a breeder so she was given her injections
I've noticed today that her back end is shaking as tho her weight is too much for her legs. Her legs and feet are fine and she's the same size as all the others.
Thanks for the info!! She was attached by a fox. The flock free range with our maremma. She wasn't bleeding from her wounds when we found her so I tried put her back after a day but both the dog and the flock singled her out. I guessed it was due too her wounds
I have a recovering chook that's been seperated from the flock for a week. She still needs time to heal but how much longer can I keep her away from the others? I've heard chickens can't survive alone??
Hi all!! Just wondering if anyone has an idea. I have and 18wk old australorp who walks like a German soldier marching. She stands out from all the rest when moving around with the group, when they stop she drops down as though she's tired. Anyone experienced this from chooks?
I have an 18wk old australorp who walks like a German soldier marching. She seems to walk then drop and have a rest as though she's tired. None of the other chooks are doing this. Any ideas??
