Can any of you post the Standard of Perfection description for mottled bantam cochin or put a link on? I can't find my book...
I believe I have some nice BBS mottled, but wanted to double check the SOP-
Thanks!!
Thanks a bunch! I had been hatching in a small magic fly incubator and didn't have plugs, so I wasn't sure. I took one out and humidity settled at 71, just took the other out and will wait to adjust a bit if needed. Do you think as long as my humidity is 65-75-- the pipped eggs will be fine...
I have a forced air styro incubator, 3 chicks have hatched, humidity is around 70-74... do I need to remove the red plugs to open the vents, or remove one? I have about 35 eggs in, and about 10 have pipped, besides the 3 that have hatched. I'm on day 19. (bantam eggs)
I had gotten one by accident from a farm supply, evidently they purchased through Ideal in Cameron... She was a GEM! Always ready to be held and right under our feet every day. lol
I'd love a whole yard of them!
Hey guys! I hatched some bantam cochins that were 'possibly' a mix with frizzles...but it seems like none of them are frizzled.
I'll take pics tomorrow so you can tell me, these are my first, and I thought a few were, but now I think they are just fluffy. lol
Either way, I'd need a cockerel or...
Hello all...just wondering if someone can direct me to the notes on incubating eggs that have detached air sacs? (shipped eggs)
I know there probably is one here somewhere...I just can't find it.
Also, any advice would be great.
I have been turning the eggs since I set them Friday night...
When can you tell if you have frizzles or not? Mine are about 2 weeks, and they are getting feathers in that don't look smooth...can anyone post a few pics of what a 2-3 week old frizzle looks like?
What kind of thermometer/hygrometer do you guys use?
Is there one that is really accurate without having to check it? I don't think I'm good at stuff like that. Lol
Oh by the way...
Have y'all set your eggs upright to hatch before? I didn't have luck with my last try at seramas eggs, so that's what I've done this time.
Any thoughts?
