We have 13 total. 1 rooster (15 weeks) and 12 hens. 6 are 8 weeks old and 7 are 15. The younger ones have been in a dog kennel inside of the main coop for about 3 to 4 weeks now. All 13 have been separated so far but I'm wondering if it's almost time to let them loose with the older ones...
To any/all of my CNY BYC'ers. I have an 8-1/2 week old production red rooster. We can't keep nor do we want to keep him. Not looking to sell him, just looking to see if someone locally would have a need for him.
This is our chicken coop. An old garage from the 20s that was a gravel filled foundation. I poured 2 foot of concrete so nothing can dig thru. I sectioned off the garage to make the coop 10'x10'x12' high. Right now the chicks are 7 and 5 weeks ish so I still leave the red light on for them in...

My wife and I recently got our first chicks. We got 6 production reds, 2 buff orps, 2 silver laced Wyandotte, and 2 barred rocks. The reds are 2 weeks older than the BO's, BR's and Wyandottes. We have the reds separated from the others but side by side so they can see each other. My question is...
