    What's going on here?

@Eggcessive Thanks for the info. They all seem to feel fine. They are eating and drinking, perhaps even more so than usual. I have the ointment and have applied to one already. Thanks again for the help! Love this forum!

    What's going on here?

Thanks guys! I thought that's what it was, but i wanted to make sure. We have an insane amount of mosquitoes thanks to Harvey. There are still areas with standing water breeding them.

    What's going on here?

Hi, I raise nankins and right after the floods from huricane Harvey, I noticed these nodules developing on the beaks and combs of my chicks and the 3 month old cockerels. They are actually disfiguring the combs. My older nankins are in the same coop and unaffected. Any idea what's going on here?

Can the black skin from silkies show up unexpectedly in silkie mixes? PICS!!

I crossed a Silkie rooster and a Delaware hen and held back 3 of the slate shank chicks. 2 were white with slate shanks and 1 was brown with slate shanks. The 2 white ones ended up being roosters and the brown one a hen. I guess it doesn't work every single yellow/white shank hen.

    Baby Muscovy Hatched!!!

Yes,I found that out the hard way. I didn't realize they would kill each others babies. I read that they would that night, so I was going to separate in the morning, but it was too late for one. I'm building more pens so that I can separate the rest when their's hatch. Thanks. I thought they...

    Baby Muscovy Hatched!!!

Thanks everyone. Unfortunately, another nesting duck killed one of her babies before I could separate them, but the other 12 are doing great.

    Baby Muscovy Hatched!!!

@Miss Lydia @Amiga @Krazyquilts As promised, an update on the nesting Muscovy. The first nest hatched yesterday!!! Yes, I know I went overboard with pictures, but I'm just so excited! I have never had baby ducks before! I have another sitting on eggs, one getting ready to sit and another laying.

    Lethargic Muscovy Drake

@Miss Lydia We are so relieved. He appeared to be so bad off at first. Yes, I did have to clip his wings. He flew over a second time and there are some people that let their dogs run loose. They have killed one of out cats before, so we have to make sure all of our animals are in a enclosure...

    Lethargic Muscovy Drake

He is fully recovered. Perhaps stronger than before, he flew over a 6 foot fence! I thought the drakes couldn't fly! Thanks again for all the help!

    Lethargic Muscovy Drake

He seems to be doing better today. I'll mix up some oxine ah as soon as it comes in. Thanks so much for your help. I'll continue to post updates until he is fully recovered.

    Lethargic Muscovy Drake

Yes, I removed all other water sources. He has just been sitting around the last couple days, but he did get up, eat, drink and move around a bit a couple hours ago. His breathing is slightly labored, but not much.

    Lethargic Muscovy Drake

I have given them ACV, but he hasn't drank any of it yet.

    Lethargic Muscovy Drake

@Amiga @Miss Lydia I can't get a stool sample because he isn't eating much. I contacted another vet, but they won't see him till next week as well. I odered some Oxine Ah, but it won't be here for several days. I'm afraid bringing him inside would stress him out really bad. He isn't very...

    Lethargic Muscovy Drake

I got a 6 month old trio a little less than a year ago. Yesterday the drake became very lethargic (won't eat, won't bathe, keeps his eyes closed and is only passing urates). I only have 2 vets anywhere around here that will see ducks. One doesn't have any openings till Monday and the other I...
