Hiyas! I'm Katrina, or Revelle on the forums. Former country-dweller, I'm in a smaller town of the Quad-City area and gettin' ready to hatch me some chickens! Yee-haw! Going to start with a few silkies/sizzles from Miss Paganbird, and eventually try some Wyandottes! I'll try to put pictures of...

What did this ad say? It isn't displaying any longer.
It was about a satanic rooster up for grabs.
Arrrghhh! Time is being mean, 3 more months til move date. Does anyone have tips on how to survive it?
I couldn't find the other thread about this. Oh well!
What's the funniest mis-naming of breeds you've seen? I just found a 'free bantam Mile-Flour for pick up' on KSL.

JOSHSBANTAMS raises mille cochins. He had some last year that he sold on KSL.com and they were lovely! I believe he's in Bountiful. You should PM him to see if he has some available.
Yes! I asked him about his milles, and he was nice. I think he said he was 5 miles away from Salt...

I knoww! I was watching a baby possum in my sisters backyard, thinking, "Man, why must you grow up to be something icky?'
OP - I now have the image of a mystical chicken-snake in my head. Ground version of a chicken-hawk.
The living arrangement doesn't have much in the situation, so pardon if I don't fully enclose it. The situation is a 6 week pup that is going to be introduced to chickens when it's 3 months old.
Thank you everyone who gave advice! Bf also thanks you, it gave him an idea for a training program...
Fixed some water information (still would love confirmation of it though), added some arrival tips, and growing up information. Nothing much. Hope to add some more after errands and Chick Time v2.0.

Wah! How'd I miss that? XD Thanks for showing!
Clucky - I'm not sure quite honestly! If they're eating tons of that, then maybe worry. But if it's not nearly as much as everything else, I wouldn't worry nearly as much. Hopefully someone can chime in and help more.
Deanner -...
Woo! I've helped two people! After chick time I'm hoping to add some more things in.
For those who like pointing out mistakes, point away! It makes it easier to fix stuff.

Some more great advice! They are very thoughtful, great people. Leash idea is also good!
Thank you for the help everyone! Have a great night.
@KKatknap - Oh, sorry! Missed your post. Right now at 13 chicks, but due for more after the move. (The family is obsessed with getting a...

Revelle...where do you live?? I mean, what country?? USA? Aye.... you're not a pirate are you??
I'm just kidding...
Nah, but I got a bit of scot in me. It's hilarious to my family when I get worked up about something, since I'm the only one that ever gets a bit of an accent...

Yay! Good post about these kinds of pups. My mom's old friend had one, and it was very nice, though very excitable. Bf has had same kind of experience.
Hopefully the pup can be just as well trained.
Aye. This is true. When I trained my german shepherd, my mom undid it all. He'll listen to me and my dad, but no one else now.
Me and bf are still going to try to coordinate pup classes though. We can hope!
Aye, but there was a lot of things that bf was shocked to see, since I'm usually going on about how nice BYCers are. Family just thought that if we save every month of rent, it'd be enough for a nice size down payment for a nice enough house after college. $700ish a month for 5ish years is...
Woo! Learned pup is only 6 weeks, so should still be easy to train when we get there. Hopefully we can train it to reverse-hunt!
I'm worried about where pup came from now, though. 0_o Thanks for help and ideas.
