Be very careful if you looking for very good dry fly hackle, many that have "fly tie" chickens don't have real genetic hackle birds. I would be happy to send you feather samples to tie with prior to purchase. I know these are expensive so I want my customers to be happy. You can see from this...

I have lost good birds to heat, did this summer. I had a brood rooster get out of a pen and start fighting through the fence with another rooster. I heard it and ran over and picked him up, put him back in a pen and gave him some fresh water. Checked a half hour later and he was deader than a...
I hatch in a forced air cabinet and have in the past used a forced air foam incubator. If you keep your humidity at the right level it shouldn't matter to much.
I can go on all day about this, opinions vary greatly.
You see, imo, if the dog has food, water, shelter and adequate room then that is humane to ME. If you want to regulate how often someone pets their dog I think that is wrong. It don't affect you, it is not your business, as long as the...
It shouldn't be. Although I recommend everyone obey the law for their own protection, just because it is against the law does not mean it is wrong. Just an opinion that has turned into an intrusion into someones personal liberties.

If you have an issue with thinking everyone should think like you.....watch this, funny and true.
The issue is because you have one dog. Yes a house dog can hunt but would you keep 5, 10 or 20 hunting dogs in your house? If you decided to I would have no problem with that, and I and respect your decision to do so. But telling another person that their decision to keep a dog on a chain is...
So you're saying one does not have the right to keep dogs for hunting? Again, just because you have that opinion does not give you the right to push that on other people. There is nothing wrong with a chain run as long as it is done properly.
BTW, I'm not trying to hijack the thread, but...
Chicken eggs hatch in 21 days +/- a day or two. Usually under a hen they hatch pretty much right on 21 days. Personally I toss everything if it does not hatch in about 25 days.
That is exactly my point, YOU PREFER YOUR WAY.
That by no stretch of the imagination gives you the right to decide who gets to have a dog.
You have you're opinion and I respect you're right to have it and do what you like, however I take issue with everyone that doesn't agree with someone...
