    Rhode Island Red — gender?

Hey there! These Rhode Island’s reds are about 5 weeks old. Based on the comb and waddle it looks like I have one pullet and one cockerel. Does that seem right? Thoughts? Thanks!

Do you think any of these will lay anytime soon?

So interesting! I have a EE that just started laying today, and in the last few days I noticed how vibrant red her comb was compared to before. Makes sense now!

2 out of 7 of my chickens are limping

Hey! They are doing much better. We isolated them for a week to heal. We widened the roosting bar and added a ladder. We also made sure we had some more wood shavings to cover the floor of the coop for them to land on. Hopefully yours can be healed and feeling better soon too!

    New here!

A couple other people said they looked like Easter eggers as well. I’m new to the world of chickens lol. I guess we’ll find out! Blue & green eggs would be super cool! I’ll share some more closer up pictures and a picture of them as chicks.
