I came home with 3 the other day by saying to my DF (Fiance) "I picked out the other chicks ...what kind would you like to see in the back yard?" He pointed to 3 different ones and walked away to look at tools....they went right into the car to come home with us...reverse psychology worked for...
I thought we were done with snow...it snowed yesterday so nothing happened on the coop but the guys are supposed to be in town today buying building materials...fingers crossed!
I am sorry for your loss. I have spend the last 2 weeks all over this site and from what I have seen you can throw a little out to them with their food and let them clean it up - but not mass quantities at once.
Kellydw, this section is usually where only the really really new people go - everyone else that has been on the site for a while has their specifics they are looking for and not many people visit this thread. Sorry you lost your chicks.
Don't give up on BYC - it is a great site!
Megan, The coop is coming along ...not at all...both of the guys that were supposed to start it ended up with the flu so nothing has happened yet. I guess that is what happens with the best plans! Hopefully they are working on it today while I work (fingers crossed)
I was in Bozeman on Monday and Murdoch's there is getting their chicks from Welp. I will have to check the Murdoch's in Helena to see if they are getting them from the same place. cackleberrycoop I am really excited to get some chickens from you! Come on girls, start laying!!!
I brought home 2 New Hampshire Red babies Monday from Murdock's in Bozeman... I could not resist. I only want 5 or 6 (or more with chicken math) I am waiting for babies to be ready from cackleberrycoop and then I *should* be set...but we all know how that goes
Just joined today after spending an entire day looking at the site yesterday. You all are so creative! Our coop is being built this weekend and we hope to get the babies next week.
