I do. I am just doing hobby mushing until I am able to afford my own dog yard. This winter has been really raining so I haven't really been out. It's annoying because I can't use a sled when there isn't snow but the rain freezes so I can't use a bike. :idunno

I'm doing good! It's been while since I've actually been on BYC. How are you? Most people I know will start their sled dogs running when they are a year old. When they are younger, they let them get use to the atv and sled by chasing them or being aloud to free roam while the equipment is in an...

I'm doing very well. The dogs are getting out of shape because it has getting too hot to take them on runs after school and the like. I want to buy a bike Springer.

Oh my what cute puppies! I love watching puppies growing from cubby lumps of cuteness to lean, mean mushing machines! This season has not been good. We had maybe a week of actual good snow and I was in school for most of it. Now it's just melting :thI'm not really comfortable running the dogs...

I have an advantage when it comes to housing. My dogs don’t chew. They both prefer digging and so they are content digging rather than trying to chew up their houses. It gives me the opportunity to use barrels without worrying about them swallowing plastic.

I do really want her and I greatly appreciate the offer, but I’m not in a place where I can take anymore dogs. With my limited housing situation I don’t think it would be fair to them. Thank you so much though! I got some houses built. I’m up to my ankles in mud this year. The ground freezes...

I really like limited slip collars for my dogs. I would suggest trying something like that. They are differnt from a martingale collar since they are more like a choke collar with a limit. They work really well for my squirmy huskies and my friend only uses them on all 8 of her huskies.

Yeah, the people I got him from had him as a 100% pet dog (they had no experience with northern working dog breeds I think. Any one that had some knows they aren't good full time sit on the couch pets, especially when they are puppies) so they got him neutered. It's a real shame in my opinion...

I'm thinking I am get Jax to do weight pulls or skijoring. That or I hook him up with my friend's big sib so their is some sort of even height between them lol. He does get hot really quickly so I am going to see about shaving his belly. My parents said I can't do rabbits until next spring so...

Jax is my Sam. Big, fluffy and white as snow. Gosh I love the way he looks. I got him thinking he would be a good wheel dog but he seems to like being in lead (or an only dog) a lot more. It will be a weird looking team this year, but I'm happy about it. Yeah, rabbits for dogs is a lot easier...

We have them pretty bad here too. I haven't been training though since it's been way too hot for them. Other than walks in the early morning or late afternoon :( I know there's basically nothing that can repel the misquotes that they got up in Alaska. Honestly, I've stopped trying to repel them...

Cool! Thanks for the advice! Yeah I plan on getting some QCRs once I get paid. Truthfully, I got the second sled because my folks aren't okay with me going out alone. I have two friends that can handle a small team and are pretty fast learner. They've agreed to go out with me on some of the...

I have to do some work on the sled, getting a new break on it and fixing up one of the runners a bit. I haven't tried shaving him yet. But I'm sending him to the groomer and I'm going to ask them to do it. He doesn't sit still and tries to play whenever I brush him, so it's honestly easier for...
