We got 7 eggs from our ten girls (which includes 2 SLW and 1 GLW) yesterday, but the 10'F temperatures caused FIVE of them to crack open. The dogs were happy, me, not so much.

We put in our order for 7 more baby chickens from My Pet Chicken! Proud to say that one of them will be a GLW! Hopefully she will make Lacey (our last GLW (eaten by a raccoon)) proud :)

Sad to say that our Golden Laced Wyandotte and one of our Silver Laced Wyandottes was eaten by a Raccoon who entered the coop via the nest box. Lacey, the Golden Laced Wyandotte, was actually the pullet that is in the first post on this thread. She was shy, beautiful, and will be missed by her...

We are using artificial light. They get light from 8 in the morning to 9 at night. And actually, she laid her first egg TODAY

**UPDATES** About 23-24 weeks and still no eggs... Oh well, she is paying her keep with her looks
