Best outcome possible. I just sold my 2 pair of Breda to someone who has a flock but for some reason her rooster is not getting the job done. She is pairing my boys up with her girls and visa versa. I now have a nice coop space to separate off breeding pairs of my other breeds.
I feel sad...
I have considered selling mine. They are beautiful and I love the ones I got from rare feathers in northern california. I am concentrating on my cream legbars and am not breeding them.
I have Bredas from 2 different breeders. The eggs I set were white. The eggs that they lay are cream, lighter than brown but not as white as I expected. Can they be affected by diet?
No problems with mine either. I had to tuck my girls in at night as they like roosting on top of the coop. The coop is not heated nor is there a light and temperatures hovered about 20 degrees for about 10 days.

I hadn't planned on breeding the original line. The blue has crooked toes and the black wasn't laying till now. I will probably leave them in the laying flock and move forward with the newer Bredas.

One has laid occasionally but rarely, the other had pale wattles and was never in the nest. She just started. That is why I looked for a different line to hatch out this year.
My Breda fowl from Rare feathers Ranch allowed my to get some good pictures. George is quite friendly and comes up for treats, a nice change for me. My previous roosters were very skittish and usually hid at the site of the camera.
