So let me get this straight... I haven't read it anywhere on the entire 6 pages of this thread that I just re-read.
This was a Splash Silkie Am roo over Black Am (and 1 Blue Am) hens?
Correct?
Then you'll put another silkie am roo over the pullets and put the blue roos from this hatch over...
Thanks for the update pics Kathy.
Can't wait till you start mating them with Black Ameraucanas....... and then breed back the blue offspring to the parents.
Can't wait to see what you get when you put those silkied roos over black Am. pullets.
two years and you'll have silkied BBS! ... and folks will want those eggs!
Guess I could use a blue roo to introduce the silkied gene into Blue Wheatens.... It will just take MUCH longer.

So if it's a roo you could breed to Blue Wheaten Ameraucana or visa-versa....
These are some exotic EEs at this point but I love it.
This thread could go on for YEARS!
Kathy,
That last pic of the five week old has to be a roo. Those legs and the stance!
Germaine,
Congrats! Wow Five!
Now see if I hatch these, I'll have to go back to BBS.
Guess I'll wait until you guess get them split with Blacks.
Silkied Roo X Black pullets
Black Roo X Silkied Pullets...
