I haven't given any antibiotics. I'm hoping they both survive. It might be my only chick. I'm going to try some sugar water. It is actually more active than it was this morning but still not trying to stand.

Update for me! About 12:30am we finally got #2 out of the shell. I left the end part on because it seemed like it probably needed to dry up and fall off alone. It hasn't moved much but is still very much alive. I'm hoping it is just exhausted. My other four eggs still have not pips but...

My spelling today is horrid. I left the area where his beak is exposed open and made sure the paper towel is around the rest of the egg.

Well although he had broken through his membrane there are still plump vessels in the good membrane. I wrapped it in a paper towel with just the area around his been exposed. He is resting right now. I pray all will be well. I'll keep you guys posted.

Okay, I'm going to open it up enough to see if there is a problem. If there is a need to leave it and wrap it in a paper towel do I just wrap it everywhere except the whole? What if it tries to pip in a different area that is covered by towel?
