That's a flood I wouldn't mind :D We've already had the annual mosquito flood and are now entering the annual fly flood. A flood of hummers sounds pretty good!

I finally saw one (no photos though, sorry)! We had just hung 2 large baskets of geraniums on the front porch and one came right up. So happy to see at least one!

We've had one come for a week now. I think it's just one, but he comes to the feeder every day. ETA: I'm in north FL.

We try to avoid using chemicals because of the animals (chickens, rabbits & goats). The only time the anoles bother me is when one slips into the house, they are hard to catch little rascals!

Thanks Julie Bird! Some people refer to them as chameleons because they can change color but their proper name is Carolina anole and they're found throughout most of the SE US. We have a bunch of them around and I like them because they eat bugs (and butterflies).

That would be fun to see Blooie! Thanks for the compliment on the photos but I have a lot of practicing to do before I can get anywhere close to yours. You and so many other members on BYC are awesome photographers!

Just because the hummers are gone for now, doesn't mean the feeder isn't being used! Green Anole with butterfly lunch: Tree frog bed:

It looks like ours are gone for now, haven't seen any hummers for at least 2 weeks. Feeder is full but no takers.

Don't let anyone rain on your parade Blooie. Even us amateurs know what we like and what gives us joy!
