I have hatched a lot of eggs without ever knowing what the humidity was, but I have better hatches now monitoring the humidity too. I forgot how often the egg turners does a cycle(from left to right and back to left)-----I think every 2 hours or so. Good Luck!

What kind of incubator you got? Oh yea a 1202. They will fit right in it. You just have to pull the hatching trays out. Then put the hatching trays back in on day 18 when you stop turning----lay the eggs in the trays. Remove the metal trays like in this one.

I use 1/2" hardware cloth lids over all the hatching trays. A lot of people use cartons, some tear holes in the bottom for better air circulation. I mentioned the blue trays---I love them. http://incubatorwarehouse.com/chicken-cabinet-incubator-egg-tray.html

I have one but mine holds 288 eggs. I removed the wire bottom trays and bought 6 of the 48 count blue egg trays. I do not hatch in it---only incubate. Did you check the automatic turner to make sure it works. A lot will work on manual but I worked on some---one just yesterday that would not turn...

OK, you need to study some. A incubator is more than a light bulb. The temp inside the incubator needs to stay steady----around 100 degree's+/- a degree. So whether you use a 13 or 40 watt will be according to the temp. You really need a thermostat because without one you would have to stand...

Or just a sheet of decent plywood and make one to last a life time---like the 2 in my pic. Actually mine was free plywood.

If it was coated it might could stand the humidity???? But I wouldn't. Use a $3 Styrofoam cooler or a cheap yard sale cooler! Or some scrap plywood, or, or, or??

I would divide the difference and hatch a load, see if they hatch early, on time or late and adjust from there.

I have heard so many bad things about them on the "web" and from Locals on FB groups. I would not buy one. I too would go with the GQF hovabator if you do not want to spend a lot.

I hope you are not going by the built in thermometers in the incubator-----Most of them are so far off there is no hope. One person on here in the last couple days said they bought 2 different thermometers and placed them in this type incubator and they were off 10 degrees----it was 109 in the...

Mine is where I got them because that is where the space was. Well I might of had to move a thing or too. As far as a dark place----my main incubator was in my well lite home for months and then it was moved to a darker place, but some times I leave the light on in that room. Had no effect on...

No, some will hatch earlier, some a little later---if You had the temp and humidity right and its day 28 some should already be pipping/hatching-------what "date" did you set them on?

1000's of chicks----I am just "Playing". I sell some as chicks, grow some to pullets to sell, even grew some rooster to sell. I hatched about 5700 in a little over a year(mid of 2014 to mid of 2015 mainly) I always wanted to hatch a few----so I got busy. As far as me knowing what I am doing. I...

Well Those temps are way to high-----Its your call. I have never been in your shoes---but I personally would start completely over if I were in your shoes because about everything is against you. If the person whom told you to set the hatcher to 97-98 degree's has great hatches do what ever...
