From the sounds of it, he broke his toe and it got infected. I don't think it was bumblefoot. He likely had a weakened immune system with all his other issues. Still, he was unique and we all enjoyed him for the entirety of his short life. I hope his story helps others with micro chicks.

I looked it up online and it sounds like they don't tolerate sedation well and it can be painful for them. The upshot is I may have found him a fantastic forever home. We are still working out the details, but if it works out, he will have a very happy life.
