I have the same issue from my Lavender Ameraucanas. I got them in Nov and still no eggs. I'm soon to be moving them to a new breeding pen with more space. I'm hopping that with warmer weather will get her to lay!
I found a local breeder of Jubilee Orps. She said she will set an order for me any time, so Yay! Now all I have to do is convince my Husband I need to make a trip and spend some money! I will be investing A LOT in chickens this year. Not only am I starting Jub Orps, but I plan to order some...
Right! I am investing in Jubilees in the Spring, you have better believe I will be triming them. I was told that many of the fertility issues are due to all of that fluff.
Off topic, does any one know why Orpington eggs have such a low hatch rate for shipped birds? I had a great development...
When you say "messey" are you referring to the heads, because the patterning on the body is PERFECT!!!? These birds are as lovely as the Orps! Jubilee Wyandottes!!!!!!
Thank you.. I've checked him before. Him and GreenFire both have chicks available but not eggs . I am sure I will find some eventually, I may have to get some lemon cuckoo to tied me over until then.....what a shame .
