Yeah, we're having second thoughts; we're not huge fans of goat's milk (well, not the stuff we tried from the store like 15+ years ago anyway). I'm leaning toward a few cows, he's thinking 50... We'd do it for milk and meat. Maybe little ones for petting, or for the kids to practice milking...

You yup, and is my kids ever told me they were bored, I'd do the same thing. Oh, I'm so glad I'm a grown up now! Next on my bucket list is having dessert before dinner. I looked forward to being able to do that for my entire childhood and I still have yet to do it. That's sad.

I need more chickens, and they had some at the feed store. DH wouldn't get then for me. I didn't think if the having too many roosters for the number of hens excuse while we were there. :(

Maybe... I'm with Deb. I think he should stay quarantined. I personally wouldn't feel comfortable saying yay or nay on him being suck or depressed. Maybe, I'd you could get him a friend from the same place, that would maintain your biosecurity like Deb said.
